Restaurant Review: Gypsy Creek Winery Restaurant

Gypsy Creek Winery at Labertouche established in 1997. Since then, they have quietly and painstakingly set about transforming their vineyard into a unique all-round experience. Their original cellar door is now enhanced by an intimate little restaurant, guest house/B&B and function centre.

Overlooking the surrounding vineyards and with views to the Bunyip State Forest, this charming winery/ restaurant features a contemporary relaxed atmosphere ideal for romantic dinners, business lunches and small conferences. The restaurant seats 100 + and is available for private functions from birthday parties and anniversaries to engagements and weddings.

The restaurant offers modern international cuisine with a selection of well-presented dishes.

An inviting outdoor seating area encourages visitors to spend a long, lazy afternoon with friends over a wine or two while the wood-fired pizza oven comes into its own for small groups on request.

The staff are friendly and the service excellent.

Gypsy Creek Winery Restaurant is now open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for lunches and dinners, with breakfast on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 10am and brunch available (prior booking) on Sundays.

The restaurant is fully licensed so diners are able to enjoy the full range of Gypsy Creek’s award-winning cool climate wines including Shiraz, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Rosé and newly released “Sparkling Pearl” A range of beer, cocktails and spirits are also available.

Reservations are recommended for this popular restaurant.

To complete their dream, Hari have now opened their Guest House/ Bed & Breakfast, Conference & Function Centre early in the New Year.

Located only 100km from Melbourne, Gypsy Creek is a must see destination whether it is for wine tastings, a romantic dinner, a weekend getaway or corporate function.
